Biography:
Dr. Gregory House is one of the most brilliant minds in modern medicine. As head of the Diagnostics department at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey, he works on solving cases that have baffled ordinary doctors. He is his patients' last hope.
But what is the price of brilliance? House, as a man, is unbelievably flawed. Left with a limp, a cane and perpetual pain thanks to an infarction in his thigh, betrayed by a woman that he loved, the doctor is far from good. He is addicted to Vicodin, cynical (his mantra is "everybody lies") about human nature, and seemingly incapable of forming genuine relationships, except with his one best friend. There seems to be more going on in House's head than even he is able to deal with.
When it comes to saving patients' lives, there is nothing that House won't do. It doesn't matter who he angers or if it's even legal. But when it comes to his own life, the medical genius is still looking for the answers, and on the same self-destructive path to search for them as he is to search for cures to diseases.
Disclaimer:
This is a character journal for the character of Dr. Gregory House from FOX's House. No relationship is claimed to FOX, actor Hugh Laurie, or any of the production companies involved with the show. This journal is for writing and roleplaying only. House is not a nice man, and there will be spoilers involved, so tread with caution. Journal is intended for adults.
